Summary[]
The conniving governor of Shinano, Ogasawara Sadamune, seeks to prove that Tokiyuki, in his guise as Chojumaru, is a Hojo clan survivor, and in so doing seize the Suwa domain. Tokiyuki must face the all-seeing gaze of his adversary, as well as Sadamune’s equally perceptive henchman. If Tokiyuki can escape Sadamune’s machinations, his trials are far from over. When Suwa’s hard-pressed allies come under attack from superior enemy forces, Tokiyuki and the Elusive Warriors must ride to their aid. Can he snatch victory from the jaws of defeat?
Tokiyuki, who was suspected by Sadamune Ogasawara to be a senior vassal of the Hojo clan, faces a one-on-one tongue battle. When he couldn't reveal his true identity, he skillfully hesitated the arrow of words that was shot through, but the situation suddenly changed with the appearance of his assistant, Ichikawa ...? When people ask me who I base my characters on, I answer, "Mostly me."
For most characters, I imagine what I would do if I had lived at this time, in this environment, with this personality, with these abilities, and with these desires.
But that makes it hard to create characters who don't think about anything. For better of worse, I've always thought about things, at times analyzing and at times fretting over the past, so I don't know what it's like to act without thought.
