Yoritsugu Suwa (よりつぐ Suwa Yoritsugu?) is Tokitsugu's son and Yorishige's grandson, as well as the future heir to Suwa Shrine.

Appearance[]

He wears a traditional costume, and he has long, black, braided hair. When angry, he often makes ridiculous, exaggerated expressions.

Personality[]

He is very friendly and loving to his father and grandfather, but he becomes aggressive and manipulative around Tokiyuki due to jealousy, as he believes Tokiyuki is getting all of Yorishige's attention.

History[]

Yoritsugu was pampered by Yorishige and the rest of the shrine until Tokiyuki's arrival. Since then, he does not usually see his grandfather, for which he holds a grudge against Tokiyuki.

After meeting Tokiyuki in person, Yoritsugu challenged him to a "duel" (a game of tag), which ends with Tokiyuki winning after saving Yoritsugu from falling off of a cliff. Hoping to make Yoritsugu happy, Tokiyuki orders Yorishige to spend three days with Yoritsugu. During that time, Yorishige rubs his cheeks against Yoritsugu's enough to leave his cheeks swollen after the three days, and Yoritsugu states that Tokiyuki will "pay for this." The text at the end of chapter 46 states that he will later become Tokiyuki's staunch ally.
