Yorishige Suwa (諏訪頼重, Suwa Yorishige) is worshiped as the God of Suwa by having the spirit of Suwa Myojin within him. He's the person who offers safety to Tokiyuki after the fall of his clan in 1333. He is one of the 3 most outstanding arahitogami in Japan.
Appearance[]
Yorishige is a tall male with a light complexion. He was seen wearing a black cap with two dangling antennae that resemble the Gohei, a tool used for cleansing and exorcising by Japanese shrine maidens. Tokiyuki Hojo is seen wearing a similar accessory on his hair after Yorishige's sacrifice.
Yorishige wore a long and broad white shrine vest with long sleeves, orange highlights, and several layers of white underneath. He also had belts of red ribbons surrounding his waist and broad purple pants with white unknown symbols (presumably the symbol of Suwa), completed with white socks and black slippers.
Personality[]
Yorishige acts as a comic relief and tends to brighten up the mood when things get dark, but he always prepare everything necessary for his strategies and plans to work, and later his assistance for Tokiyuki Hojo. He often acts goofy to his subordinates and family but he cares deeply about his whole family and Suwa.
He likes mentioning that he was overflowing with holy energy and that he couldn't turn them off, and he seemed to have a weird fixation of having Tokiyuki Hojo as his adoptive child...
History[]
Yorishige visited Kamakura with Shizuku in 1333 where he met Tokiyuki, after the fall of Kamakura, Yorishige took Tokiyuki on Yasuie's orders to the Suwa shrine to pass him off as a subordinate and help him with his revenge.
Arriving at the Suwa shrine he introduced Kojiro and Ayako to Tokiyuki to be his subordinates on his mission.
He has helped Tokiyuki in various situations by becoming a father figure to him.
