Shigenobu Mochizuki (望月 重信, Mochizuki Shigenobu) is a character of The Elusive Samurai series. He is one of the Three Great Generals of Suwa, along with Yukiyasu and Yorinao.
Appearance[]
Shigenobu usually wears a traditional outfit with the Mochizuki clan symbol on it.
Personality[]
Shigenobu is usually a friendly person, it has been seen that he is usually carefree on the battlefield since he can make decisions on his own, however these decisions are usually beneficial for the situations in which they find themselves.
History[]
10 years ago Shigenobu had a daughter with a concubine, years later he would become one of the 3 generals representing the Mochizuki clan, during Sadamune's arrival in Suwa he appeared with Yorinao and Yukiyasu asking Yorishige if he needed help, some time later he reappeared for the battle against the Kokushi together with the generals where they would help several allies of Suwa, he was assigned to go north to help Tokoiwa, during the trip of the elusive warriors to report the situation of the center and south he was considered killed upon seeing the fort on fire, reappearing through the forest and after an encounter with Ayako moved south to help, during Shokan's appearance he moved to the center to help Tokiyuki and the remaining Shinomiya allies.
Abilities[]
- Wits: During battles Shigenobu has been shown to make important decisions based on how he feels according to Yorinao, these decisions end up benefiting himself or his allies by changing the course of the battle.
- Swordsman: Like most warriors, he knows how to handle the sword and defend himself with it.
- Super Strength: It has been seen that he has more strength than normal, being able to use a tree to hit his enemies.[1]

- Any Weapon: Mochizuki uses whatever he finds to fight, he has been seen using trees, corpses, helmets, stones, etc.
Etymology[]
- Mochizuki means "full moon" (望月).
- Shigenobu means "multilayered/layers, folds" (重) (shige) and "trust, believe" (信) (nobu).
