Muneshige Godaiin (五大院宗繁, Godaīn Muneshige) was a retainer of the Kamakura Shogunate before its fall in 1333. He's also the uncle of Kunitoki and Tokiyuki.
Appearance[]
Godaiin wears a traditional yukata with his hair tied back.
Personality[]
Godaiin, at first glance, seemed like a caring and supportive uncle to Kunitoki as well as a loyal retainer to the Hojo Clan.
However, following Takauji's rebellion and the resulting chaos that followed, Godaiin revealed his true nature as a greedy and selfish man who sold out his own nephew for a little bit of money knowing it would mean the end of the boy if he did so.
History[]
Being his sister the mother of Kunitoki took advantage of his situation to approach the Hojo clan, when Takauji and the Nitta army invaded, he fled with his nephew and hide the boy.
However, seeing a chance to make a profit for himself, Godaiin decided to sell out Kunitoki to the enemy which led to his nephew's untimely demise. Unfortunately for Godaiin, he was expelled by the army without any form of payment for his information.
Driven mad with greed, Godaiin decided that he should give them Tokiyuki's location as well and searched for the boy, eventually finding him as Suwa Shrine. Tokiyuki, knowing his uncle's betrayal, then fought against him and, with assistance for his new vassals, proceeded to kill the madman and avenge his half-brother.

Master Swordsman: Godaiin was an expert swordsman, capable of chopping a tree into three pieces.
Equipment[]
Sword: Like most warriors, Godaiin has a sword for personal defense.
