A Forest Inhabited by a God (
Tokiyuki risks his life and wins a game of tag, defeating the enemy who betrayed his brother, their uncle, Muneshige. As soon as he arrives in Suwa, Yorishige urges him to begin his lessons and training to take back Kamakura.[1]
Synopsis[]
Tokiyuki wins a life-or-death game of tag against his uncle, Muneshige, and successfully avenges his brother.
After arriving in Suwa, before he has time to heal his wounded heart, Yorishige urges Tokiyuki to train in order to retake Kamakura. He still has doubts about Yorishige, and is unable to see the meaning of his studies.
Tokiyuki thinks that becoming a hero is far removed from him, but Yorishige shows him something. He tells him to create a group of retainers who will join him in retaking Kamakura. The boy who lost everything receives the protection of the "gods" and quietly gathers his strength in the land of Suwa.[2]
